We are committed to empowering community health workers and public health decision makers with innovative, data-driven solutions
What motivates us to wake up in the morning at Khushi Baby? We look to take on complex problems with diverse team members and stakeholders to compound incremental changes into transformational impact at the last mile.
Those who live in underserved communities and those who work in underserved communities are the people we should keep at the center of our work. At minimum we should bring them no harm or inconvenience. We are committed to work until we bring them sustained value.
Deeply learning about the proverbial forest requires living amongst the trees. Our “aha moments” come from spending time in the field, testing hypotheses, and co-creating with communities.
We accompany our partners over many years to tackle the wicked problems of public health. It takes time to build trust, to create impact, and to measure results.
The roles defining digital public health are being created today. We value the ability to adapt across roles to ensure end-to-end oversight of our interventions.
Creativity is required to face wicked problems. We seek new perspectives to uncover opportunities for targeted solutions, and we encourage experimentation and asking for forgiveness.
We strive for the intersection of efficiency, innovation, and frugality with our operations, in other words jugaad. This commitment has kept our digital health solution 20x more cost effective than comparable digital health providers.
Over the years we have made our share of mistakes in policy, technology, field deployments, and evaluation. We own our mistakes and make changes suggested by root causes analysis.
In our initial years and to get a “seat at the table”, we prioritized “going fast and going alone.” As we have matured, we have learned to appreciate and cultivate teamwork, both internally and externally to extend the impact of our interventions. We seek long-term relationships and celebrate the wins with partners who are uplifting the ecosystem.
We have faced our share of challenges, setbacks, and rejections across funding, policy, recruitment, technology, and partnerships. Almost a decade later, we still pick ourselves up knowing that the show must go on.
We need to work together and leverage our mutual strengths to make a change on the ground. It takes a village to raise a Khushi Baby.
We are advancing a data driven culture within our team and within the public health ecosystem by measuring hundreds of indicators within our platform and across our activities. Only by constant measurement can understand what works and improve every day.
